Accessibility Statement
Zan Personal Notes is committed to ensuring that this application is accessible to all users, including persons with disabilities. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and the Philippine DICT Web Accessibility Guidelines.
Accessibility features
- Full keyboard operability — every action can be performed without a mouse.
- A "Skip to main content" link at the start of every page.
- Visible focus indicators on all interactive controls.
- Screen-reader support: semantic landmarks, labeled form fields, described errors, and live announcements for search results and saved changes.
- Color is never the only carrier of meaning; text and icons accompany all states.
- Text and interface colors meet WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Text can be resized up to 200% and pages reflow without horizontal scrolling.
- Reduced-motion preferences are honored.
Keyboard shortcuts
- Tab / Shift+Tab — move between controls.
- Enter on a focused note card — open the note editor.
- Alt+← / Alt+→ on a focused note card — reorder the note (keyboard alternative to drag and drop).
- Ctrl+K — focus the search field from anywhere.
- Esc — close dialogs and menus.
- Ctrl+S inside the note editor — save the note.
Known limitations
The rich-text editor uses the browser's native editing surface; some screen readers may announce formatting changes differently across browsers. Checklist mode offers a fully structured alternative for list-style content.
